Trying to cable manage a usb3 cable

Hi, I have a nzxt h500i and a b450 Aorus elite, Has anyone got any ideas on how to make this cable look clean?

Not really the cables are big and bulky for a reason, though the header imo doesnt need to be that long.  You can try running it up from underneath but that wont be good for the the cable or the socket as it will put strain on it.

I tried running it from the bottom and it was nearly impossible to run the excess cable back through the hole.

It looks like it requires half an inch or so. There's pictures on the page that give a good enough idea.

On my board, the USB3 cable is right next to 24-pin power, so they both reach the same height and have the same curve. imo, its not too bad on my case; and imo, its not the end of the world in yours either.

 

The way you have it is fairly clean, imo, and its definitely out of the way being at the bottom of the case.

True. Its all imo. If I got cable mod cables and a right angle USB3 it could look better, but I think its good enough.

I think yours is fine as well. Some of my friends have worse cable management, by choice, and it makes me cringe sometimes.

I am confused on why you’re coming into a thread about helping somebody with their cable management and taking about your pc and other peoples pc. All I wanted was a simple fix lol

might be a little long, but nothing a few zip-ties can't fix.

One option you could look into are the Corsair Premium Sleeved Front Panel Extension kits that were launched recently.  The kit extends the USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HD Audio, and front IO connections with sleeved cables like our Premium Sleeved PSU cable kits in Black, White, Blue or Red.  With some creative cable routing you can make those vertical cables pop rather than hiding them.  Matching SATA cables are available as well for your drives.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Leave it for a couple weeks and see if you still care. If you do, you could pick up one of the angled connectors others have mentioned.

 

You could also try to repurpose a black plastic cover as a makeshift shroud.

 

You will probably forget about it if you just leave it though
