AMD to launch 560XT

AMD rolled out a their mid/entry level Radeon RX video card this evening - or rather morning for China. The new and China exclusive Polaris 10-based card designed to fill the gap between the RX 560 and the RX 570. The weirdly named 560 XT. Don’t expect to see it come to North America any time soon through: with AMD’s close partner Sapphire being the sole vender of the card.

should this card excist? I'm not sure. The only reason I would buy it is if the price is there to justify it. What i think this is? a 1050 ti equivelent to catch up with Nvidia again.

For those wondering about the odd CU count, it is similar to the previous china exclusive AMD Radeon RX 470D GPU (also 28 CUs) and also the non-china exclusive Radeon Pro 570 575 found in the 2017 5K iMac as an upgrade option which also has 28 CUs.

It could be a rebranded RX 470D but it appears to have different clockspeeds and also a higher TBP rating which is weird.

 

It's not a rebrand of the Radeon Pro 575 cos that has 8GB of VRAM and appears to be exclusive to Apple.

Yes, this Card should exist but they should have done it like Radeon PRO WX5100!

Wich is inside the 75W Specification, so doesn't need a PCIe Connector.

This card should be released abroad. The other markets need something in-between the 560 and 570 as well. The 570 is a great card but the 560 is the bare minimum. It would be nice to have the option to get something a little more powerful.

Looking at the perf improvements over the 560, this actually seems like a useful and reasonable choice to release

So RX 570 performance for less? Sounds pretty good to me. Does seem a bit like competing with yourself though but it's possible this is more emerging markets kinda thing. Also are we really going to bring back the old school XT naming thing?

That's how little I think about AMD's low end cards. I'm guessing they released this to get rid of their extra stocks of gpu die before Navi's released.

little behind, but not by that much

Given the specs I'm pretty sure it will overclock to more than make up the distance given it's the only one with these low clocks.

560 are more well known in macbooks.

new  ryzen apu(3600g would be the strongest one) would probably be equivalent or stronger than a 580.

It exists (imho) because of over produced chips needing a home...if 560 and 570 isn't selling, new* product!
