Which GPU? Which CPU?

ZZZach167

I am planning on building a mid range pc for gaming and possibly streaming. Should I go for an RX590 or a 1660 ti? Both of these cards are very similar and I am wondering which you would prefer. Also, should I get the AMD Ryzen  5 2600 or 7 1700? Is the 2600 still good for streaming? I know that the Ryzen 5 2600 is the better choice for strictly gaming.

I would recommend the 1660ti for its new turing based board. I cant help with the CPU though, as I truly prefer intel.

The 2600 is good for streaming (unless you want to do very high bitrates).

Between 1660 and 590 I would go with whichever is cheaper.

EDIT: Read 1660 instead of 1660 Ti. 1660 Ti > RX 590 = 1660

Depends on what resolution 1080p,2k,4k ( about gpu )

CPU you choose after you answer what resolution

bc faster gpu like 1080ti will bottleneck with low CPU

1- what resolution you want play ?

can answer you , for the best  gpu + cpu

I do not know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone

1080p

2060 is best

can buy any CPU i see ryzen better for my reasons

1- i have dual monitor 1080p ( ryzen best multitasking )

2 - streaming playing ( ryzen best multitasking ) intel with 1080p high usage

3 - can run 2 games same time 60% cpu usage ( multitasking )

4- using photoshop Gimp + use video edting filmora 9 ( normal any cpu can do but have 6 cores minimum )

5 - overlooked cpu with stock cooler 3.8 Max ( for my 1600 )

best cpu usage never hit max usage  mine 1600

gen 2 ofc better but if you can wait until gen 3 wow boost 5ghz

if you have 1600 or 2600 or 1700 you can upgrade only buying new cpu gen 3

while intel you have to buy new mobo new cpu if you are lucky ram compatible with mobo not need to buy ram

I know the worst English but I think is clear

I do not know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone

It says that it is compatible with ddr4 3000 ram

says by who ? here question do like this here

copy and paste mobo name in google

1- at mobo page click support

2- on left you see ( Compatibility ) click

3 - as your list on pcpicker you have 2600 ( without G ) so click on top Memory by Rx-2x00

now you see all list i like corsair and copy what memory you like example CMK 32G X4 M4A 2400C14

CMK

32G  mean 32 GB

M4A mean x4 of ram 8gb total 32G

2400mhz is ram speed

i already saw list CMK16GX4M2B3000C15  is best for you 16gb 3000mhz

CMK16GX4M2B3000C15

 ( 16gb )

m2 mean x2 of 8gb ram

up to you , you have list choose what you like

you just can paste on amazon or newegg CMK16GX4M2B3000C15

I do not know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone

They have better hyperthreading and I like the lga socket over the pga one.
