Does 24fps really make a video seems cinematic or it's just a gimmick? And for 30fps recording camera, can i make the video 4 times faster and it will be 120fps and make it 5 times slower to get smooth and not choppy 24fps?

Thank you.

30 x 4 = 120, so yes you're correct.

120 / 5 = 24, so yes you're correct.

24 FPS is enough for a cinematic movie, and you can't compare it to a gaming experience.

making videos play faster does solve the smoothness problem, but then everything is 4 times as fast so not good for content (unless you shoot the whole thing at a quarter the speed)

I mean for cinematic(ish) vlog (with no talking and only walking, record iconic things, etc), does 30fps is better or 24fps is?

24fps was (is) the framerate in movies. We are used to see that framerate so we incorporated that with cinema look.

I don't see why you can have 30fps for documentary style footage, as for vlogs it's not the quality that counts it's the story.

Thank you.

So i dont really understand..you want to make a cinematic slow mo effect by recording the video in 30fps and then make it 4 times faster and then you're gonna slow it down 5 times to get the effect or something?

If you didnt then why bother to do that?

Just use either 24/30FPS.. there wouldn't be huge difference.
