This seems like a good TV series.

One upside to everyone using the same PSU is at least then when someone posts "My 1600w PSU isn't working" we won't have to suffer through 20 replies asking which 1600w PSU they have before we can help. :D

The Prime 1000W is listed in tier A. What do you need a 1000W PSU for?

the only bq at that level would be the dark power pro 11, which is a custom design, i recall by fsp

axi is a flextronics, who normally makes server psus, they're expensive, but perform really well

if the price difference is big: dpp 11

if the price difference is small: axi

850W should be fine. The HX850 is priced okay, performs well and is quiet under load.

The G3 is shorter, louder, and has OTP. Generally, I would recommend neither

Worse. I'd go for the G2 if you don't live in a hot place; the G3 if you do.

Or even better, another option.

...live in a hot place....

So what would you define as "live in a hot place"?

For example, my cousin has said her house, which was built in 1924 and has poor insulation, has reached 104°F (40°C) indoors, probably in summer.  (She's a few miles west of me, in La Mesa, CA.)  Hey I wonder how well some of the "lower end PSUs", like the "gutless wonders" on @jonnyGURU's site, or even other models with a 25°C or 30°C rating (like EVGA 400W non-80+, or older Corsair CX) might hold up there, or how quickly they'd go kaput. :D

I'd probably consider about 100°F (outdoor temperature) warm, if the humidity is below about 30-35% or so.  Hot, probably more like 118-122F (48-50C) at like 15-25% humidity or something like that I'd guess.  Interestingly, a few years ago I was in one place where the temp & humidity were both in the 80s, then a week later I was where it was 113F (45C) and about 13% humidity.  I actually felt better in the area with the dry heat.

On the flip side, overclocking might be a bit more fun there in winter than at some LTT fans' places - she mentioned that 104 temperature in a comment on a picture in January of her thermometer showing 49.1°F (which would be 9.5°C).  (Or what about O/C'ing in something like a commercial walk-in freezer?)

Yeah

I just went on amazon and bought a Corsair RM550x

Does it have better quality than the ones I asked previously?

Also is it suitable for my PC as it has a ryzen 3600 on a B450 tomahawk with 16GB ddr4 and rx480

You are aware that you're asking this question in the exact post that has the answer to that exactly on the top of page 1 right?

Corsair RMX series = Tier A+

Previous PSU Mentioned: Seasonic M12II (or III) = Tier C
