None are fixed. One is set too low, other is set too high.

Provide a source for it? Id like to see a test instead of a random forum post.

Sir, Why is FSP Aurum PT series from the Best (in old Tier list) the same with Antec HCP, Seasonic Prime, Corsair AXi now move to Tier A+ ?

It should be in Tier S (ultra high-end)

P.s: Sorry for my bad English @LukeSavenije

Why should it be in tier S? Here's a review for your convenience.

D, should not be gotten and avoided, if at all possible.

There is no reason to get that.

Hi, Im back again.

After searching product for a couple days here is my option.

around 90 usd > superflower leadex gold

around 75 usd > superflower leadex silver, superflower green golder, superflower  platinum king, be quiet pure power 11

around 60 usd > be quiet system power u9, PSU EVGA 450GD GOLD 450W.

i think im going toward evga 450GD as it cheap and on tier A.

or if i got more money ill going for be quiet pure power 11 500W.

Its one of the best for that price.

Tier C Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 500W 80 PLUS Power Supply MPX-5001-ACAAW-US - I can snag one up for $25 shipped - does that sound like a good price?

My use case - my parts pile has run out of just in case power supplies and need to buy one for just in case

If its junk just say so, I usually tend to get higher tier than this.

No, save a bit more and get a better PSU, something like the normal Master Watt, be quiet System Power 9, 400W or more, Xilence Performance A+.

That would be the ones I'd go for. They cost 10-15€ more but they are far better.

Whenever I give recommendations for fellow countrymen, SystemPower is a favoured unit of mine for those, who don't want to spend more than ~40-50 euros on their PSU-s. Though I always list Bitfenix Formula and Whisper M first, because they are not significantly dearer than SystemPower9.

Good to know, that SystemPower is a fine tight-budget option!

Prices vary by country though.. : )

Yes, it is better but also around 25% or so more expensive.

The smaller A+ is at around 40€, the Performance X 550W is at around 55€.

Caviat: German Prices.

If the Price of the A+ is close to X, get X.

I don't need PSU atm, when I upgrade RX570 I'll just get Straight Power 11, I'm blown away how quiet my Pure Power 11 is.
Also Straight Power 11 is cheapest A+ unit i can get with 550w, everything else is 10-15 euros more, RMx, Enigma, Hydro PTM, Whisper M, and anything tier S is at least 50 more but will see how power hungry Navi ends up being, 400w might end up being plenty for me
