Any really good PC games recommendations?

Origami Cactus

So im looking for some more classical, but really good pc games to play. I mostly play first person shooters, but if it is good it can be whatever. The reason for "classical" is that most new games focus on graphics, but the mechanics and story are left as lower priority.

What i have played:

GTA trilogy (SA, VC, 3)

Prey (2017)

FC4, FC5

TF2

Watch_Dogs 1+2

What i am going to play:

Halo 2,Fallout New Vegas, Max payne 1 + 2, Portal, Half-Life

Also i played Mario 64 and it was surprisingly good, so you can recommend some older games too.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

Duke Nukem 3D, Quake 1 and 3, DOOM 2016, Painkiller, Shadow Warrior, Blood, Hotline Miami, Diablo 2, and Fallout 2 are some of my favorite classic/classic inspired games ever.

Also, if you like stealth games check out Aragami. Not very retro/classic, but a blast nonetheless

Most boring game I've ever tried in my life, only go for this is you're a hardcore fan of extremely slow paced full RPG style, with bad narrative mind you.

First person shooters all PC gamers should try:

New Vegas was amazing tbh. I loved the overarching story as well as all the characters. It's one of the few games that could genuinely make me laugh so hard I cried one moment but then make me feel like actually crying the next. It does have its flaws in terms of gameplay but the writing alone makes up for it imho

non-FPS you can't really beat Witcher 3 for story and how well it's made.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is not the cup of tea for everyone but if you like the style of more realistic combat it's a good FPS.

Far Cry 5 now that i have finished it i know it's just visually great. Content itself me and my 3 other friends with it we all forced ourselves to finish it and i think i'm the only one that finished the whole thing. Note that i bought it for the single player portion and didn't care about multiplayer so i got it during steam winter sales and it was something like 35$. Tough call to say if it was worth the price. I loved the 1,2 hated the 3, didn't played the 4.

If you enjoy RPG's then possibly Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2.  2 is far superior, but it's a direct sequel, so parts of the game would be missed out if you skipped it.

The series is a spiritual successor to the old Baldurs Gate games and the story is great.

One game which i recently played through 100% was FC5. I played through all the 3 dlc's too, these were also very fun. FC4 was ok, but FC5 was awesome.

Yeah everyone recommends Witcher 3 always, so will have to pick up the Game of the year edition someday. Added to the list

Bioshock franchise is definitely on my list, but what do you think about the "bioshock the collection" ? Or should i get the original games?

How long is TitanFall 2 SP? Because Titanfall looks really cool, and i can get it for about 10€, so if it is longer than 10 hours it would be great. Also how's the story?

I will definitely consider it, but that isn't really my cup of tea. Maybe i will try FF 15?

Thank you everyone for the suggestions, i will look into all those games!

You could look at it that way, or you could look at it as you are the slayer of demons.  I mean, the literal idea is you're murdering hordes of demons, so it's kinda the opposite of satanic.

That games is just a bit too gory for me. Maybe in a few years i will play it?

Because the map and soundtrack are epic, but smashing someone's skull in? ehh

Honestly speaking, what I've played of Doom is so frantically fast paced that you don't really pay much attention to the violence lol.

But, if that's not your thing then fair enough.

Perhaps have a look at the newer Deus Ex games (Mankind Divided and Human Revolution), they are a blend of story-based RPG and FPS, in a Cyberpunk setting (if you've ever heard of the original Deus Ex, then you know the drill).

Also worth keeping an eye on will be:

Cyberpunk 2077 (from the makers of the Witcher series, so you know the story is going to be great)

Outer Worlds (Obsidian's new game, since they were cut out from doing more Fallout, they decided to make their own)

If you like Sci Fi FPS, Story-rich or RPG games, then it's probably one of the top series in the genre!

Plus, ya know, if you were to have a look on CD Keys right now, they have the delux version of Mankind Divided on sale for £5 as a world-wide region.

Couldnt disagree more.

The game is excelent, gives a ton of freedom and the story is really engaging. It is an old game and that shows, its not perfect for sure, but it is considered by many the best fallout game. I played fo3,fo4 and NV and every one of them is good in its own way.

So I guess its obvious that I recommend NV, but my top recommendations (lets keep it short) are:

Divinity Original Sin 2: Its a turn based rpg, the combat is AMAZING, the story is insanely good and you have A TON of freedom. Its really hard to find flaws in this game, its just a bit hard to learn at first.

The Witcher 3. What can I say? Its one of the best games ever made. Its a must, unless the game is really not your style.

Ultra is stupid. ALWAYS.
