the 550 watt uses a different platform than the 600 watt and higher

the mwe bronze 550 watt is a tier lower because of that

no, a bad and a worse one...

None of the Original Aurums is desirable...

Anyway, there aren't many low cost PSU that are actually decent...

most of the psu's being sold where i live are either low end crappy ones, or the really high end ones (and those cost more than any part i have) there isnt much in the middle.

Where do you live?

Can you link to a store that you would use to buy parts?

AFAIK it's basically ebay/amazon in Philippines - lots of different sellers advertising on the one marketplace. Seems lots of people in Philippines use it for PC part shopping as I see it on the forums a fair bit.

I'm seeing the FSP Raider II 550W for 4,300... So I'm going to assume that's the budget OP has.

Can get an EVGA GD 550W for the same price as the FSP - https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/evga-550-gd-550w-80plus-gold-apfc-power-supply-100-240v-i155814464-s187276707.html?spm=a2o4l.searchlist.list.19.123720cfBaXIjx&search=1

Though, I do question why it's priced in amongst the Seasonic S12/M12s, the Corsair VS units, and the Thermaltake Lite/Smart.

Edit: Though, for OPs build with the 2200G + RX 570 I'd honestly just spend the 1800 and grab the VS450 (grey label) and save the rest of my money.

I'm planning to upgrade to the EVGA 550 GD later, so will the VS550 be sufficient in the meantime? How long do you think it will last?
