Is the FSP Raider II 550W Power Supply good?

Is the FSP Raider II 550W Power Supply good?

I'm just asking if it's any good. It's 80+ Silver Certified. I've seen other forum posts on them any people say they're okay but some say otherwise so I just want to know if it's any good or bad and if it' can handle my PC

My PC:

Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5GHz stock (Overclocked to 3.7GHz)

MSI B450M Bazooka Plus

Hyper X Fury (4x2)8GB 2400mHz (Overclocked to 2666MHz)

Gigabyte RX 570 4GB

Seagate Barraccuda 1TB

24" IPS 75Hz Monitor

4 RGB Case Fans

I also want to know if I can overclock the ram to 3200MHz and have my whole system not die.

Thanks, and go easy on me.

No, it's not good.

What about a:

beQuiet! System Power 9 (400W+)

beQuiet! Pure Power 11 (all wattages, including 300W)

Corsair CX (2017/gray text)

Corsair CXM (2015/gray text)

SeaSonic Focus Gold

SeaSonic Focus Plus Gold/Platinum/Titanium

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux

The Raider II fine. You don't need anywhere near 550W, though, so you could check for lower wattage PSUs. Check out the BitFenix Formula 450W.

isn't the pure power 10 based on the raider 2?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

i thought that was the 9?

tho there's nothing between the transformer and Output Coil which makes the +12V Rectification SMD and sinked to the Case according to @Stefan Payne

and iirc the 10 is custom made aurum btw

No, its a modified Raider 1 (wich was based on the Aurum), wich added a second rail for regulating 5V independantly.

The Raider 2 is a completely new plattform, developed from the ground up.

So far I've seen 3 Versions:
The no secondary Heatsink version used in Raider II and Hydro GE.

The with Secondary Heatsink version used in Hexa 85+

And a similar but different unit that looks like an FSP Interpretation of S12II.

TL;DR:

Raider is Active Clamp
Raider II looks like Double Forward.

One more thing, which one is better, the FSP Raider II 550W or the Cougar VTX 500W?

If it is, then is it better than the Corsair VS series?

Neither.  And the Cougar VTX is the same platform as the Corsair VS (gray label) so you're looking at all the same performance level here.

All are double forward with group regulation.

The Raider II claims DC-DC for 3,3V and 5V. So it should be at least somewhat decent.

My bad.

Interestingly though that Plattform only has like 2 or 3 wet electrolytic capacitors.

One of them is the Bulk Cap. And the other one one of those 50V ones (probably 47µF due to size)

PS: Here a Pic of the insides of it:

Hexa 85+ is similar...

it's a no for me, just because there are better alternatives

check the new psu tier list, and get at least a budget class psu, there are many to choose from and they're all better than the ones mentioned

So between the two: Corsair VS550 and the FSP Raider II 550w

Which one? Power supplies (like the Corsair CX series) cost like $30-$40 dollars more here

Hm.. I saw that the Cooler Master MWE Bronze 600W was on tier B.. I haven't found any 600W but only 550W's. Is it good enough?

the 550 watt uses a different platform than the 600 watt and higher

the mwe bronze 550 watt is a tier lower because of that
