Hey there, title says it all. would love to have something slightly cheaper but without totally crappy sound ^^

Probably something DIY. The Modmic is the only product of its kind that I know of, and probably the only good one for an equal or lower price.

What about the vmoda mic? The mic is super high quality and has a volume adjuster.
