Dogs Tail wagging is not smooth. It has motion blur WTF !

So I was watching a movie on my TV which is 60hz and 120 motion rate.  THe dog in the movie was waggling his tail and it wasn't smooth frames are skipped and I don't see them and its not smooth and fluid.  Also fighting scenes have soo much motion blur.  My worry now is if I get a 120hz monitor it will behave like the 120 motion rate technology.  Is this true or would a 120 or 144hz monitor be smooth like butter and not like my TV ? Your TV may be 120 hz motion rated, but your TV is only 60 hz

Not to mention 99.99% of movies are 24hz (or 48 hz in the case of The Hobbit.)

Your seeing motion blur, because those smoothframes arnt there.

A 120 hz screen wont fix it, if the content is slow anyway

If you set the frame rate of the tv to the same as the movie it should be smooth. It could be the player you are using isn't doing this by default, so that needs to be set in the settings.

Yes I said that in my post the TV is 60hz ,, and just 120 motion rate.  Oh thanks for the explanation.

Im not using a player,, just the Smart HUB ,,,,,, I mean its smooth I can tell the difference between a 60i non 120 motion rate,, but still in fast movements you don't see it fluidly and what not.  So 120hz and 60hz with 120 mr is the same thing or will 120hz or 144hz provide much smoother movement and what not ?
