Set up your Linux gaming pc, from start to finish

Revised guide with pictures for adding GOG games to Lutris:

Open Lutris, select the "+" icon in the top-left and select "Import Games..." from the drop-down menu.

In the new window that opens click on the GOG.com tab and then on "Connect your account".

This will open a login screen for your GOG account (and most likely you will need to provide a 2FA code that will be e-mailed to you after logging in).

Once you have added your account you can then import either some or all of your games into Lutris for it to handle future downloads and installs.  So, select the ones that you want and press "Import Games".  These games will now be listed in Lutris for you to install.

Keep in mind that if these are Windows based games, you will still need to install WINE and any other required dependencies in order for them to install and run.

I have a VFIO GPU pass-through tutorial for Debian(Ubuntu 19.04/19.10) which would be good for gaming in a virtual machine. Don't know if that would have any worth to you for this catalog.

that's certainly of worth to me. i plan to make a similar guide for Manjaro myself next week since that's what i'm using and i wasn't gonna do ubuntu. as long as the guide still works for 20.04 i have no problem adding it.

It's written for 19.04 specifically but someone I assisted got it to work for 19.10 without him specifying any additional steps which is a good start. It's going to be a while before I can verify 20.04 compatibility but I will keep it in mind when I happen to find the time/hardware.

From what I've read on Protondb for those 2 games, you need to use Lutris, install uplay there, and launch the game from it. Again tho, would be cool to have written guide for it.

Wait some versions of ubuntu have it set up where it will automatically set up dualbooting for you?

I might have just not noiced but I thought with the kubuntu install there wasn't any option like that so I just did it from having partitions set up.
