True 144hz?

Guys I’ve a fear that when I build my PC i’ll End up doing something wrong ... biggest of them all is ..my monitor ... why do I fear that either i’ll Do something due to which I don’t realise it is running at 144hz or at 60hz.... any way to check that my monitor is at 144hz (other than OSD) ... any website to check these stats that the monitor is running at????

 

or its just my nervousness?

Switch it to 60 Hz, move your mouse back and forth fast. You'll see some "ghost images" of the mouse. Switch it to 144 Hz and do the same thing. If you see a lot more "ghost images" of the mouse, and closer together, it's working.

So the ghost stuff is lower in 144hz.?
