I have heard the 58X is better for gaming.. but dont quote me on it.

 

 I have the 6XX and they are fantastic headphones for just about anything but require an amp and cost $50.00 more than the 58x.

hd 58x it has a wider sound stage which makes a world of a difference in gaming. is also easier to drive so no amp required. to most people it also has better separation and imaging. I dont use them much for gamign though cause I have beter cans for that purpose but thay can peroform very well as I occasionally use them for siege when Im too lazy to switch headphones.
