Cryengine adds raytracing to amd and non rtx cards

Neon Noir was developed on a bespoke version of CRYENGINE 5.5., and the experimental ray tracing feature based on CRYENGINE’s Total Illumination used to create the demo is both API and hardware agnostic, enabling ray tracing to run on most mainstream, contemporary AMD and NVIDIA GPUs. However, the future integration of this new CRYENGINE technology will be optimized to benefit from performance enhancements delivered by the latest generation of graphics cards and supported APIs like Vulkan and DX12.

can we get a summary of this before the thread gets blocked/deleted? like i see the video of it and its sorta neat... but well, also, it seems like its lower FPS than it should be... and this probably took a ton of time to optimize for the AMD GPU To render this...

So says the guy with an RTX2080 Ti....🤨  Amazing eyes you have, how could you tell the framerate is lower than 'it should be'?🤔 I had the RTX 2080 Ti, among the first to get one, amazing piece of hardware, but just because you have one doesn't mean you have to put down the 'enemy' you know, you don't owe nVidia any loyalty.....I'm all for better gaming experience for all involved, not just AMD or nVidia. Imagine what your RTX 2080 Ti would have cost if AMD weren't around in the GPU market....
