No one on earth is dumb enough to think a massacre like this could actually be inspired by a guy who makes 10 minute videos about the latest memes.

this is the same crap that happened to Marilyn Manson with the columbine shooting that happened in the US about 20 years ago. 

 

the truth is, people like Manson and PewDiePie have millions of fans. if just one of them happens to be a crazy murderer that's not their fault. we can't blame them for the actions of their followers.

There is plenty of other news that they can cash in on, just as easily. Lots of it. I'd say it has more to do with seizing the opportunity to discredit Youtube, Youtube creators and internet in general.

See, in the shooter's manifesto it said he wanted to cause division/drama. I'd like to bet that the shooter knew that there's nobody better to drag through the mud than someone as controversial as PewDiePie. And if he did know that, he was absolutely right.

This is the media's wet dream. As far as I can tell, it works like this: Something bad happens > Well known person with a controversial reputation gets put in the spotlight > Instant success for the media. 

 

That being said, it's a shame to see someone purposely sully Felix's good name and reputation; much less when it's in a situation such as this where nearly 50 innocent people have died.

 

IMO we need to focus on the main issue at hand here, and that's the shooting. It is unfortunate that this has happened to Felix but there are other things that need attention right now.

I friggin hate how stuff like this happens and then the media starts screaming about stuff that has absolutely no relation to the topic that is supposed to be discussed. In all honesty, I think the Pewds is a bit annoying, but I still subd to him since I want to show that I support the original foundations of the website (Individual creativity). I literally had to turn off the TV (which is a sin at my grammas house) when I saw what was being said on MSNBC. It's disgusting what people are being forced to listen to nowadays. I wish there was a time machine so I could go back to the days when people didn't try to take apart stuff and use it against others all the time when society supported personal creativity and didn't take it apart to find meanings that were never put into the works that people made.
