Windows update broke my ethernet?

Shadow_Storm56

It's probably a one in a million issue but the last time I updated windows it made it so ethernet will not pass internet. It shows that I'm connected, says theres internet but cannot connect to anything. I have 2 ethernet ports with one connecting to my server for network storage and I tried swapping them. Obviously I change the metric so the priority is correct and it still won't give internet. Wifi still works atleast.... I'm going to check for new drivers and see if I can fix it but it's annoying. Windows update always breaks something for me....

The 1809 update broke Intel's Advanced Drivers for me. I have an Intel X520 for 10Gbp networking but had a 1Gbps link for failover. After updating Windows my NIC Teaming and basically all of Intels advanced drivers disappeared. Tried reinstalling the driver, they just released a new one the other day and I still don't have to features back.

what motherboard do you have?

I've had 1809 on all my rigs since January and none of them have had any issues at all...

Off the top of my head, Asus Rampage VI Extreme, Asus Maximus X Code, Asus Strix Z270i-gaming, Gigabyte GA-H270-HD3P boards all with Intel 1 gig NICs. The R6E also has a 10g NIC but I've never used it since my switches are only 1gig.

Laptop: Razer Blade Pro 2019 9750H model, 32GB @ 3200mHz CL18 G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4, 2x Samsung 960 Pro 1TB RAID0, repasted with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut

that's my main rig too (using to type this)... the Intel I219-V only has 1 file listed under Driver

C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\e1i63x64.sys

file version is 12.15.22.6

on the driver tab it says the date is 4/5/2016

which one do you have?
