Does Tor encrypt .com websites? And does it encrypt before it hits your router?

I need to know if Tor encrypts .com websites end-to-end.

Tor does not provide end-to-end encryption. Once the traffic leaves an exit node it's back in the open.

Unless your computer is part of Tor, no.

It depends what you mean by encrypting websites end to end.  Ultimately, if a website does not support https part of the traffic will be susceptible to a MITM attach. (But only from the website to exit node).  So if you are passing confidential information that you do not want others to know and the site is not https then it wouldn't be encrypted.

 

Maybe my understanding is wrong, but I believe any traffic from the exit node to you is all encrypted and each node in the hop doesn't know about the information they are sending (or to who).
