Ssd dead?

So a few years back I had a dead Ocz SSD, I made an rma and it got replaced with an OCZ Referb VTX450 Now this one died again and is not found by bios or external hdd enclosures I can ofc make a new rma and get it replaced but i need the data of it. How to fix?

The problem is that its already an replacement for the dead drive from 2014, and im worried that they will forward it to some random shop who are gonna charge shit ton of money.

The Vertex 450 only has a 3 year warranty.  Don't expect too much, unless they're in an extremely generous mood they will probably tell you to buy a new SSD. 

 

As for your data, I guess you found out how important backups are.  

it's much harder to recover data from a dead SSD than from a dead HDD.  You may want to ask yourself if the data on that drive is worth the amount of money that the recovery company will ask ... assuming that any of it can actually be recovered.

Haha. I've decided to run a backup tonight because of you. :P

 

Yeah, looking online, seems a lot of the Vertex SSDs died. :/
