Changing a Standard laptop display to thin bezel display

Shehanfaiz

I’m looking into changing my regular laptop display (Dell inspiron 5570 15.6” ) to an FHD ips display with a very thin bezel.

any thoughts, ideas, recommendations and dumb jokes and puns are welcome ????

I'd imagine that most, if not all panels wouldn't fit. People do replace their laptop panels, but they replace it with a working version identical to the original panel.

yeah its 99% not possible without a completely custom design. You would have to reengineer the 30 pin connection and that wouldnt be worth it.

Not going to be possible unless you fabricate a completely custom design.

The Portable Workstation (Apple MacBook Pro 16" 2021)

SoC: Apple M1 Max (8+2 core CPU w/ 32-core GPU) | RAM: 32GB unified LPDDR5 | Storage: 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD | OS: macOS Monterey

The Communicator (Apple iPhone 13 Pro)

SoC: Apple A15 Bionic | RAM: 6GB LPDDR4X | Storage: 128GB internal w/ NVMe controller | Display: 6.1" 2532x1170 "Super Retina XDR" OLED with VRR at up to 120Hz | OS: iOS 15.1

You can change the display, but you cannot change the case.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

and you can only put in a screen designed for the machine because of the mounting points, 30 pin connector, etc.
