now how do you delete something after the fact you post it? you wont get the same option to delete after you post it. go ahead, try to delete that image now.

I had deleted it after posting, the screenshot shows me deleting the original image IN THIS POST
after posting. I posted, refreshed, deleted and posted the screenshot of the delete.

still works, the picture is gone.

go to a status update, post an image in the comments, accidentally hide it, now how do you delete it?

also you wont get the same options to delete the attachment in the status update

is it a link ?
usually hiding the status basically "deletes" it anyway..

I thought this was a known bug with attachments in status updates. I tried editing the size of an image in a status update of mine and couldn't save it no matter what, so I can't change or remove the image at all.

You can delete attachments by deleting them from the post that they are associated with. We don't want to allow deleting attachments from hidden posts because a hidden post usually means that it broke the rules, and we want removed content to be auditable (for example, to stop someone being warned for an image in a post, then deleting the attachment and claiming that the warning was unjust).

The only place that the attachments show up is in your "My attachments" section - there are no non-staff ways to access it. However, if you would like the image to be removed from our servers, please send me a PM and I will see what I can do.
