LG G7 vs Samsung Note 8

VirusStorm

Well, LG doesn't have a good record with keeping their phones up to date for more than 2 years...so Samsung takes the win for me. And it's a sad victory.

Either phone should be good for 2 years anyways. But I have a hunch that Samsung has better software than LG. But go for LG if you want the super high quality headphone jack.

I had the exact same choice and chose the lg g7. Its great and I think I prefer it to the note 8. The note 8 would have a better screen and camera though. G7 is faster and I prefer the UI, also better headphone jack, speaker, fingerprint sensor, etc.

I haven't used an LG phone yet, but I can vouch for the note 8 I'm currently typing this on. It's a great phone.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Personally, I like the LG UI more. I use the loud speaker all the time to play music when I shower (I don't own a small speaker for that), and I take way more photos with the ultrawide camera than you'd expect. Probably a third of all pictures I take, I use the ultrawide lens. I honestly can't complain about it. The battery not lasting all day isn't an issue for me, but I'm not on my phone the whole day. I also had an S7 edge, and didn't like not having bezels on the side because of the way I hold my phone. I'd touch the screen a lot on accident.

Yep! Everyone I know with a curved Samsung “edge” display hates that feature. It’s so impractical because it makes applying a screen protector a nightmare. It makes phone cases less protective. And it distorts the image on the sides.
