Using a E580 and I'm very happy with it.

Hi,

I will run Linux so I don't mind the OS.

Which one is the most reliable?

I would get a Thinkpad. They have really good keyboards. If you are a student, you can get cheaper education versions without OS preinstalled. https://www.campuspoint.de/

I don't do school since 6-7 years ^.^ What do you mean by "good keyboards" ?

Well, i like it (I have a T450s). Try some different laptops in a local shop. Keyboards are a matter of taste as well.

Not really, the schenker has a 120hz panel, but they didn't add it. I reported it that these laptops have 120hz.

I'm thinking now between those two... I will not play on this laptop but still thinking.

17" + 1060 6GB

or
15" + RTX 2060 6GB

But coding on a 17" should be better right ?

Not really. It is bigger, but honestly 15-17 inch isnt a huge upgrade for me. It is personal opinion tho. Personally I carry a USB monitor around with me for coding/config scripts.

I guess I will need to visit a store and look at 15" 17" laptops and then choose based on that.

Make sure to get a good feel for the keyboards as well.

Linux support is usually pretty poor for gaming laptops as well, something to consider. You will definitely lose the ability to set custom fan curves, or any manafacturer specific tools like the ones to set your rgb backlights.

1. https://geizhals.de/?cat=nb (It has all stores in germany + it fetches for the lowest price.).

2. Depends, If it's REALLY worth the price. It can be 700, 1k, 1.3k, 1.8k, not sure If I would like to go near 2K.
3. Atom Editor, NodeJS, I use for example a SASS compiler in AE. Shouldn't also be slow, I like to have few Tabs, windows open etc.

4. Battery not lower than 7h when coding.

5. I want a good display, I was looking for IPS displays.

(6.) I won't be buying a Laptop for the next few years (or if it breaks). Should be a solid laptop that I can have on my lap that won't get hot as hell. "LAP-TOP", want to use that feature ?

Current state.

I'm able to finance a notebook up to 2k (could be higher but I see no point in doing that.).

Option 1:

Buying the Thinkpad E580 15" with a i5 8250U inside that reaches about ~525 points in Cinebench. But it has a iGPU that I'm worried will lag or something. This laptop will be my "coding laptop" and also a normal laptop where I will watch movies, netflix etc. I don't want that the mouse will start feeling "soapy" because the iGPU is rendering frames to slow or something. I've read that this Laptop lasts about 7h and not 13h like Lenovo says, not sure if he had a iGPU tho, I saw only that he was using also a E580 with a 8250U.

(600Euros / No financing needed)

Option 2:

Buying the Thinkpad E580 15" with a i7 8550U except this one has a RX550 built in. The 8550U is 30-40 points faster than the i5 8250U, so nvm that. Now because it has a AMD GPU inside, how long will the battery last?

(820Euros / No financing needed)

Option 3:

Buying the Thinkpad X1 Extreme with a i5 8300H reaches 800 points (that is a bit higher) and has a 1050ti inside.

(1860Euros without financing and 2050Euros financed included everything)

I want a good laptop and not be like "Damn, it's lagging bla bla".

Using currently the Elementary OS and I love it. :D
My issue with those laptops is that I don't feel the buttons and when typing fast on flat keycaps I'm missing and misclicking a lot. I tried my aunts Lenovo Ideapad 320 (something with i5 8k series) and I don't like the keyboard. I was in MediaMarkt near me today and the Helios had bit "harder" keys and that was cool, I couldn't find any Thinkpad in the store I was in. But from what I'm remembering I could write fast on a thinkpad, maybe not as fast as I'm doing now.
