picking the right case,

Building a new PC and have all the parts picked out, but for me picking the right case is always the hardest. Figured I would seek some input this time from others and what better place this here. Also never visited the forum for Linus yet so here goes my first post also lol.

 

What I'm looking for in the case.

 

  • Price up to $250 or less.
  • Guess I will try this new RGB phase going around.
  • Good airflow and cable management. 
  • Full tower or maybe med tower
  • Compatibility for a Corsair Hydro H150i pro
  • Do like the idea of SSD's fitting on the back of the case out of sight. But not a must.

 

Case color is not a big deal; usually, I have black or white.

Welcome to the forum!

 

If you are okay with having your AIO as front intake the Fractal Design Meshify C TG is perfect, it also comes in white. When I choose cases now I prioritize airflow and dust filtration the highest, this is pretty much the best option in that regard. And if you want RGB you can get RGB fans and LED strips. If you find the regular Meshify C TG too small it also comes in the Meshify S2 model which is larger (better hard drive and rad support). Overall build quality and features of this case are phenomenal and it feels a lot more premium than the price paid. A bigger case that has great airflow but better rad support is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG and Enthoo Evolv TG, both represent everything you could want in a full tower without actually being one, both are premium built cases with tons of hardware expandability options. I have recently been eyeing up the Corsair Crystal 460x and 570x in white as they look really good but airflow is sacrificed for good looks, and I have heard that the PSU shroud design is not great in either.

 

But over the past 4-5 years, I have worked with easily 14+ cases and the Meshify C TG is my favorite to date.

The Meshify S2 will be one of my picks, really like its design. Think I won't pick RGB, but just get LED strips to light the inside.

dpends one what you like. me personally i dont like teenagy gamery look and like cubes so i really love lian li's pc-oX case series. got the -o11 dynamic myself.

in general i always try to go as compact as possible though. i like hXXX series from nzxt also. In win also has some real clean cases and jonsbo is really unique if maybe not that strong built quality wise.

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"

It is an excellent case, comes in white or black. A very similar alternative is also the Phanteks P600s, I just saw this comparison this morning.
