Pixel 1 (and xl) Upgrade?

AngelOfBodom

Hey everyone! I got a pixel and pixel xl a little over a year ago (when they were super cheap refurb) for my wife and I. Hers has since had weird battery issues and her speaker for speakerphone died. Not a huge phone person (though admittedly I've been a huge nexus/pixel fan over the years), so do any of you have any mid-ranged (~$350/$400) phone recommendations as a replacement for her xl and my standard pixel?

I've noticed there are "Android One" ones? do they provide the same stock Android google phones have?

pocophone f1 and mi8 are ideal in that case.

good camera, possebility to flash, good battery, oled for the mi8, headphone jack for the pocophone, both snapdragon 845

anything else you need in a phone?

I'd wait a couple days and see what is going to come out of MWC. Might be some hidden gem lower-midrange phones.

Right now, I'd probably look towards the S9/+ and the Note8. You can get both for within your budget, new...assuming you're using USD, since you didn't tell us and there are something like 12+ countries that use the dollar.

Basically, if the proper bands aren't present, the phone doesn't work.

Then I wouldn't really go making recommendations without knowing all the facts...or at least mentioning the possible pitfalls ;)
