would this cpu work with my motherboard?

Ashley02

Nope. 2200G is AM4. I'd rather sell the mobo and upgrade to B450 with ryzen. Though in that case, you'll need to purchase new RAM-s as well (B450-DDR4, whereas your current board supports DDR3...)

Try to sell your mobo-cpu-ram& buy new B450 with Ryzen and 2x4 or 2x8 GB DDR4 ram with 2933-3200 Mhz frequency..

Life is really challenging. I don't always suceed: )

agree with Vejnemojnen you'll have to sell your current setup and start fresh. Totally worth it though Ryzen is hella bang for buck
