Is it safe to use two sets of the same ram?

there's no difference except that it comes in 2 boxes rather than 1

I was looking for a 64GB (4x16gb) kit of Trident Z Royal 3200 the other day, but seems it's all sold out, and the CAS 14 version is the only one available (crazy expensive).

 

However, the 32GB (2x16gb) is available with the specs I want. If I bought two sets of the same ram model (2 sets of 32GB), will I have any potential issues or dangers since all 4 sticks aren't exactly "matched".

Its going to be fine, if its the same stuff its all good. Problems come when trying to match super different speced RAM from different makes and stuff. These kits are going to be identical so its going to work fine

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Buying 2x 2x16GB is better than buying 4x16GB. If one module dies, you can send two models for an RMA, not all four.

I wanted to add a quick follow up question. Is it possible that I'll have issues overclocking this ram anywhere near 3200mhz with two separate sets? I contacted G.Skill tech support and they said,

 

"It is not recommended to use two separate kits of RAM as results may not be guaranteed. You will need to test and see what the two kits can do together."

 

I'm on an ASUS X99 PRO/USB 3.1, and technically their RAM Configurator only has up to 2800 O.C. ram sticks listed for this board (Trident RGB listed, but no Royal), even though the board supports up to 3300 O.C. I didn't know if anyone had experience with this. (the ram is in shipment btw)
