Hey everyone, I have been having some issues with my 8700k's voltage. So i was messing around with ram timings (auto was 2666mhz 18-19-19-44) and that went well and everything but i noticed when i was ran cinebench my fans would max out indicating the CPU is running above 70C (usually runs at 53C with -100mv) I have decided that i will run a fixed vcore of 1.150V for now but when I'm under max load I'm hitting 1.196V. I have checked LLC and it is on level 5 which is where it should be, Please help me i have no idea whats causing this and i want to have my CPU dropping voltage when idle once again. P.S i reverted memory timings and was still getting 1.4V.

Use an offset voltage rather than fixed.

If you can, then you should.

I have tried that and the system becomes unstable with anything more then -125mv because of the idle voltage becoming to low.
