Nvidia, I'm Sorry.

We said the GTX 1660 Ti would come, and here it is – But it’s not quite what we had in mind. Can it perform well enough for a recommendation?

Nvidia?

Regardless, I'm happy that Nvidia is releasing the product (Even if it's not perfect). Competition is competition and it made the Vega 56 drop to $280.

I'm also curious as to how well the 1660 will do with folding, but there aren't any numbers released yet.

it made one Vega56 card from MSI that is out of stock and only "available" at two retailers drop to $280

Who else here thought he was apologizing for the vivisection he's done to their P106/1060 drivers?

is this a 1660ti review becasue that's an awful title as Gtx 2060 review title LTT had where you couldn't find it even if you searched for it.

Oddly enough, I very recently changed my 960 4GB for a used 1080ti, paid 450GBP for it, Google says that is about 585USD. I wanted the bigger horse power and seriously considered the 2080, but didn't see the point in RTX, for now.

I wouldn't of considered the 1660Ti, like I said, I wanted the horse power. But my main Pc currently has a 750Ti, I wonder if nVidia are considering a 1650Ti or something?

The name 1660 TI is an odd name, just like how the Titan X Pascal was oddly named. The tech community nicknamed that the Titan Xp. Maybe the tech community should nickname this the 1160 TI since it make a little more sense than 1660TI? Just a random thought.

thank you for changing the title, but it does't have to be this way every time. keep the product names for atleast major releases.

Personally I agree that product reviews should eventually end up with the product in the title, but sometimes that works against a video’s momentum - The “Hacking Nvidia’s Drivers” video initially did relatively poorly compared to the first P106 video, which I believe was because the original title had “mining GPU” in it to try and make it more descriptive. That was my decision, and it seemed to pick up once that was removed.

So TL;DR we’re experimenting a bit with the titles to see how modifying them after the fact affects video performance. Hopefully it’ll be a “best of both worlds” situation, but we’ll have to see how it works out long term.

It's not that bad price/performance-wise....

Depending on how the market changes, I may look at Nvidia's more midrange cards should I end up building a new rig this year. I've currently got my eye on this card, the 2060, and the 2070.

curious on why not put vega 56 in the comparison too since you're already added 1070 in there

I want to know if it's worth the upgrade from a 1060 3GB to this GPU.Now,I would have gotten the RTX 2060 but here in my country it's almost 200 euros more expensive than the 1660 Ti.Also would it perform well in 2k ? Not the newer games but the older ones like pre 2017.Thanks

A 1660ti would be a great upgrade for a 1060 3g. It performs on par with a 1070.

Main rig-- Corsair 460x, Asus Strix z270, i7 7700k @4.8 1.3v, Noctua u14s, 16gb 3200mhz Corsair Vengence RGB Pro, Asus Strix 1080ti OC, Samsung 970 Evo 500gb, 2x Seagate FireCuda 2tb, EVGA SuperNova G3 750w Gold, 6 Corsair LL120 RGB fans

Really could have done without the bit where Linus explains the specific kind of prostitute Nvidia's GPU drivers make him think of.
