Why don't they sell my AOC monitor anymore.

Turtle Rig

I bought this bad boy like 9 months ago and its nice 4k which means great real estate.  However shortly after buying it I could not find the monitor anywhere.  They simply don't sell it no more.  Now I will be the first to admit its a POS monitor mostly because its 60hz and it has the worst viewing angles ever.. Well my previous Samsung 28" 4k was the same.  I get completely different colors on the top of the screen compared to the bottom.  The monitor has to have some issue or is just a POS like I said.  I mean it does the job but has issues with viewing angles and its VA.  My question is my future monitor once it comes out will be VA QLED HDR 120Hz 5120x1440.  I hope the viewing angles are not as bad as this junk AOC crapola.  Im going to lose my vertical resolution but the horizontal will make it be worth it.

Anyhow waiting for Samsung to release its second gen 49" SUWQHD.  Im guessing a price of 1700 or 1800 dollars.  Im gonna pull the trigger as soon as its out as I have been behind 60hz for over a decade.  My old CRT FW900 was 80hz and much smoother when gaming.  Bring CRT's back without the bulk lol.  But then it will have brightness issues and what not.

The colors on my 32" 4K VA Acer are super nice. I can't believe how nice it is, I literally can't even look at my 1080p 17" IPS screen after using this, it's absolutely fucking hideous (mainly due to PPI).

I really want to go ultrawide as well, just to increase the refresh rate.. I really can't imagine using less PPI than I have now, everything is so crisp and sharp it's crazy.

Thanks ChewToy for your input.  So I guess its my POS monitor that is just horrible at viewing angles.  I sit straight in front of it and the red up top is brighter then the red on bottom, or any color for that matter.  I turn my head a little side to side and the viewing angle bs kicks in.  So I guess your Acer is a top quality VA panel.  So if I can ask one last thing, the viewing angles how is it on that Acer ?  Wow so it beats your previous IPS panel uh wow!

I sit maybe 15-20 inches from my screen, the edges of the screen are little lighter in color, but it's nothing to complain about, for me anyway.. The viewing angles are really great, like you can still tell that the edges are a little lighter (not really noticeable), but I can read text and view image quality perfectly fine.. When I let one of the kids play a game on my PC and I stand off to the side it still looks really great.

I honestly didn't think it would be as nice as it is, I paid $399 for it on sale on Black Friday. And it's even cheaper now..https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824011158&Description=acer 4k&cm_re=acer_4k-_-24-011-158-_-Product

The marketing definitely isn't lying about the color accuracy..I didn't have to change one setting..I think that's the problem with my 17" screen, the color just sucks and doesn't go over like 250 nits brightness where this one is 350.. It really is probably the best 32" budget 4K option out there (not including IPS), I researched a lot of them forever and this one just stood out for some reason..

That is great man, Im glad you found your Acer with such a bloated market out there.  I believe you on the viewing angles,  If you can stand up or go in a angle it it still looks proper without getting darker or brigther then you have struck gold pretty much.

I usually leave it off unless it's a GPU demanding game and I'm only seeing 50-70 FPS anyway.. Like Hitman 2, GTA V, COD WWII, etc.. For esport games like Apex, CSGO, Rainbow Six Seige, I leave it off..

How is the image tearing, is it noticable or if you zone into the game you dont really notice it ?  I can notice vsync OFF from a mile away!  vsync ON is just soo smooth but I have a pos 60hz so theres input lag and tons of it.

Most of the time I don't really see or notice it with high FPS.. High FPS makes it less noticeable.. I do notice it more in lower FPS games, which is why I turn Freesync on. Even at around 100-120 FPS in APEX, I don't see any of that, honestly. Maybe here and there, but definitely not that noticeable, and I usually notice things like that..

I'm not really educated on the topic, so I can't give a solid answer, sorry..
