Need help with streaming

Elysimo

So I've been trying to stream for a bit now and I keep running into the same problem which is my stream keeps stuttering. I've tried all sorts of different settings I also tried to use an elgato HD capture card (not the best idea I know). My PC has a 15 8400, gtx 1050ti and 8gb or RAM. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated if you need more info just ask.

Could you try streaming and show your Task Manager with usages, that would help.

What software are you running as OBS may be using all your CPU, also your internet connection may just be too slow.

I probably shouldn't have posted this now not on my pc atm sorry. I streamlabs OBS and my Internet tends to be average 30 megabytes a second and sometimes goes up to 50

Then I have no clue. I can stream fine on a CPU worse than yours with SLOBS. Might just be settings in SLOBS then?

Also wouldn't it be better to use msi afterburner and get the overlay on in game?

Can you tell me what settings you use? I can try them next time I stream then if that doesn't work then it shouldn't be my pc that's the problem. And what gpu do u have?

ah ok. that could hurt it, as its not as much bandwith for the cpu to pull from during several tasks.

I've seen people stream with 13 8100 and gtx 1050 ti tho and yes the quality might not be the best but they are still streaming with no stuttering like I have

i3?

also, it could be that they have dual channel ram, still making an impact.

it shouldn't. the motherboard should have no impact on the stream stutter. I honestly think it is the ram being single channel, but i am not certain.

Does it matter if I have lets say a hyper x ram and a corsair ram or do they both have to be the same?

they can work being different. they will just run at the slowest speed and latency. However, it is good having 2 of the same sticks.

but, it would help if you could find someone who has a similar build help with the trouble shooting, as it could be some other issue I'm not seeing.

@TH3R34P3R I just streamed with shadow play and had no issues. Only problem with that is you don't have as much customization and it causes some games to crash

Do you use obs? If so what gpu and cpu do you use?

What is your encoder @Elysimo? If you're using using SLOBS, it should have auto-set your stream settings when you downloaded it. The encoder might be an issue because I have a RX580 and I found that the built in Radeon encoder works much better than x264.

Standard OBS Studio, Ryzen 5 1600, GTX 780.

I switch between x264 and NVENC encoding depending on what I'm streaming.
