Please someone help, RAM problem, URGENT!

Dijon

Hi so today I got the 8GB (4x2gb RAM) (yeah on the casing it did say PC2-6400) at home I installed all of the RAM succesfullly, went in contral panel ...a problem, says 8GB installed but, 2.75 usable still?

I check in task manager and yup, 2.75 GB is max it will go, does not make sense because it even says its an 64bit operating system? Please help this is really important.

Windows 7 x32?

32-bit Windows has an address space of 4GB. Part of that is used by system BIOSes and graphics memory.

With a 256MB graphics card about 3.3-3.5GB of RAM can be addressed and used, assuming you have 4GB fitted.

If you fit a graphics card with 1GB of memory only about 2.6-2.8GB of the RAM would be addressable and usable.

nailed?

Case: Corsair 760T  |  Psu: Evga  650w p2 | Cpu-Cooler : Noctua Nh-d15 | Cpu : 8600k  | Gpu: Gygabyte 1070 g1 | Ram: 2x8gb Gskill Trident-Z 3000mhz |  Mobo : Aorus GA-Z370 Gaming K3 | Storage : Ocz 120gb sata ssd , sandisk 480gb ssd , wd 1gb hdd | Keyboard : Corsair k95 rgb plat. | Mouse : Razer deathadder elite | Monitor: Dell s2417DG (1440p 165hz gsync) & a crappy hp 24' ips 1080p | Audio: Schiit stack + Akg k712pro + Blue yeti.

Del delete Button or F2 or esc

Which medion PC is it? Are you from germany?

When in bios Make a bios Reset or load Standart Settings and reboot.

Here you can get the newest bios

Unpack the file and use the autoexec.bat

in your c drive thats what they write.

But alot of German Users have that Problem with that medion PC.

Medion is a cheap PC brand.
