Dual monitor setup. Secondary monitor keeps flashing on and off

I have a dual monitor setup and recently my secondary monitor started going blank for a second and then works normally for 10 seconds or so. I know there is no issue with the monitor/cable since I used it alone for an extended period of time with no flickering. Also this seems to happen more frequently when gaming.

Any idea what might be causing this?

Did something happen to your graphics card? I'm as clueless at this as anyone.
