Ali Express...Wish.com...experiences with direct from China?

Video Beagle

Spurred by mentions in videos, I've looked at Ali Express, as well as wish.com, and I'm wondering what kind of experiences people have had..they have much of the same stuff, with pretty similar prices...is one better than the other? Is either "good"?

I HAVE done a order with wish.com..a watch, a "smart watch"and a Snoopy lego kit....things came in in several weeks-month before it was said they were due (But I suspect those dates are either worst case, or deliberately long so you feel like things came quickly. The watch is as described. I haven't started the snoopy yet, and i missed some details in the scant description of it, (but I feel that's more a logic fail on my side)...the smart watch looks nice, and some functions are really good, and some not (it's blood preasure is just junk), but it's an $18 chinese knockoff Apple Watch wannabe....getting pretty much what I paid for.

I've ordered from Wish. Pretty much similar to eBay with the difference being shipping prices higher.

Aliexpress is decent, I haven't had any bad experiences with them yet.

I won't order anything from wish since they shoved their ads down my throat till I chocked and I want them to go bankrupt and die :D

75% of what I say is sarcastic

So is the rest probably

My experiance with shipping from China with Wish has been this:

- Purchase item

- Wait for item to to ship out of china

- Wait some more

- Item is now late against the estimated delivery

- Raise a ticket only to be told 'wait a bit longer'

- 60 days pass and now Wish dont want to know. They have money and wont respond to any emails.

So Yeah. I dont use or recommend Wish to anybody. Bunch of crooks.

I bought a mechanical keyboard from AliExpress a few years ago and it arrived on time surprisingly. "On time" as in almost 2 months after I ordered it though.

That's what I don't get with people buying from Wish.com ... it's often more expensive than eBay or Aliexpress AND you have to pay for shipping, that, BTW, cost them pennies.

Thank God I don't deal with that anymore, I have my wife order from TaoBao and get the stuff a few weeks/months later when family or friends are coming back from China :P

Ordered many, many, many things from Aliexpress, Banggood, JoyBuy, Gearbest and MiniInTheBox, they always arrive perfectly.

My only advice is to pay a little premium for the shipping, standard methods can be very slow (up to 3 months in some countries like mine), so when EMS or ePacket shipping are available and affordable, i'd say go for them.

In fact i just ordered the new Loxjie D10 DAC/AMP Zeos showed yesterday from Aliexpress with ePacket shipping, should be here in the next 3 weeks.

I've been spoiled by prime shipping. If I cant find it local, I get it through prime. I just dont feel like waiting 3-4 weeks or more is worth it.

I have no experience with this Wish-thingy, but I order stuff constantly on eBay and Aliexpress. I, by far, prefer eBay and the simple reason for that is that they always side with the customer, not seller, when there's an issue and they do not require any sort of proof or you to jump through any sort of fancy loops to get refunded. Aliexpress may require you to jump through some hoops, like e.g. when I received only half of the items I once ordered, they made me take pictures of the packaging I got in the mail, weigh it with and without the contents that came in it and so on, before agreeing to refund me.

As for the stuff you can buy: never, EVER believe what the Chinaman has written on there and never, EVER buy anything that could be hazardous, unless you have the skills to make the item in question safer to use. Always be prepared that they're exaggerating any specs mentioned and do your due diligence in actually researching that you are fully aware of what it is you are buying.

I have bought clothing from wish and I am quite happy. Just don´t order too much in one shipment due to tax.

Don't mean to brag, but I'm a gold member on Aliexpress - items are exactly as described with reasonable shipping times (2 weeks for me). Never had an issue, and especially the tech works great.

I wouldn't order anything which is more than $40 from those. Quality isn't that great overall. I have some good products, mainly cables and other such things. My laptop sleeve is from DX.com and it has been amazing quality considering $8 price.

I've ordered from aliexpress but not from wish. Doesn't really make it look reputable with facebook full of 5€ graphics cards. Aliexpress on the other hand has worked fine for me. I've always received my product. Most of the stuff that I order are cables or electronic parts, so nothing expensive. The HDMI cable I'm currently using is from china and it works perfectly fine. Also my 16GB USB drive is good, 25MB/s speeds and I've confirmed that it is full 16GB.

My stuff:

Spoiler

CPU :  Intel i5 8400 | GPU : MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4GB

RAM : 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 @ 3600MHz

Mouse : Logitech G502 HERO SE | Keyboard : Mountain Everest Max w/ Cherry MX Brown

Headset : Beyerdynamics DT990 Pro 250Ω w/ AT2020USB+

Monitor : Acer XF240H @  144Hz

Like eBay.

Is there such a thing as a non-counterfeit MicroSD card?

I've bought A LOT of stuff from both AE and eBay, often without issues. Everything from clothes for her to tech stuff and car parts for me. I got some nice stuff sometimes and some not so nice stuff sometimes, usually I'm pretty picky about what I buy and know already if it's going to be crap or not.

Pretty much the same stuff you find from chineese sellers on ebay, amazon, ali express...any of them...likely the same sellers.
