Recomendation For Video : Making Ruber Dome Keycaps (unable to locate suitable post in LTT Official)

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

Just gonna share this video here:

It's relative 'easy' to make your own keycaps with a mold, but, it won't be super cost effective and with the design I have seen of rubber dome keycaps it's probably not gonna turn out perfect; the key feel will differ from keycap to keycap. 3D printing doesn't seem very viable, due to the nature of these keycaps; with very small details on their sides.

But would be kinda neat to see LTT try it out.

Not sure what you want to achieve, but it's probably more cost effective to get a mechanical Chinese board (hey, LTT has done a video on those! Budget mechanical boards!)

Also, welcome to the forum :D

Looking For Rubber Dome Keycaps

So, it always been possible to buy non-original manufacture keycaps for switches such as cherry MX, but i'm a cheap gamer so i have a rubber dome keycaps, and instead of me buying a new mechanical keyboard, i was hoping i could find rubber dome keycaps in a better quality of plastic and also the letter on the keycaps being transparent. Apparently, from other forums, it is not possible and i have the same answer from scrolling through the interent for a god 2 hours. Could you attempt to 3D Print the or even possibly have another go at casting ?

this is my current keyboard ( i know its really cheap and crap but i broke af)
