OMV is not supported on raspberry pi 1, You need 2 or 3.

A kernel panic is not a good thing, there can be some misconfiguration somewhere, do your carefully followed the install instructions?
It's the os fault imo, to exclude any other issues, does raspbian ran properly?

There were no install instructions xd, I just did it the normal way. Raspbian did run correctly.

Im certain i tried both not decompressing it, and using etcher, however i will try that again.

I tried it again, and it didnt even show the error/log screen this time, just ACT and power leds
