Corsair H100i v2 High Idle and Load Temps

The one thing that's always bothered me about the H100i + v2 versions is the relatively large gap between the radiator and where the fans mount.
 

I was looking at the newer H100i RGB Platinum model. It seems to have removed that gap almost entirely, providing closer contact for the fans to disapate heat or at least that's what I would assume it would do.

MSI z97 Gaming 5 motherboard

~ MSI AfterBurner 4.6.1 OC settings ~
- Core Clock +125MHz curve
- Memory Clock +700MHz
-> In Game: GPU clock 2075 MHz - Mem clock 5702 MHz @ 1075mV
