A320 board with B350 chipset

I found this board, Gigabyte A320M-S2H V2, it's an A320 board, with A320 price, but with B350 chipset. Some people claimed that thet can overclock Ryzen processor on this board (from what I know yet, they overclock R3 1200, R3 2200G, R5 1600). So it's possible to overclock Ryzen on this board. My question is, is it safe to overclock on this board? Has anyone have tried this?

A320 with 8pin on mobo, really looks like a b350.

may be the R&D on a320 is too high & market is too small , so they just rename it to a320?

Agree, even if you could oc with that board, the VRM might not be very happy with the power draw.

Good vrm are expensive, so don't expect miracle with it.

Even a mild OC like 3.8GHz on R3 2200G or 1400-1500MHz on Vega 8?

Probably only a mistake/error on their side...

In the end its based on the same silicone anyway...

In theory, it should not draw more than 100w under synthetic load. But at that time, the vrm will be running very close to its temperature limit. If you didn't have good airflow inside the case, it could overheat.

I just don't like the idea of running hardware close to its limit day in day out. I would look for second handed hardware if really that tight on budget.

Actually, I'm intending to use this setup as a dedicated  streaming PC on a test bench, so airflow isn't an issue since I don't use a case.

I have that same board but V1, I have not tried overclocking my 1300x on it yet in fear of setting my PC ablaze.

I can however overlock ram, so there's that...
