Which monitor is best for gaming ?

I'm just wondering is there any good monitor that is  ideal for high end gaming and some I'll be doing the graphics related work. I know there are some good monitor but high price. But I'm looking for a mid budget monitor while considering the above requirements and performance.

OP, post budget, system specs and what you plan on doing, for gaming I would say the best Monitors are 1440p high refresh rate monitors (120+) but for content creation no one can beat a 4k IPS in general. however 1440p is still a nice step up from 1080p
