Issues with a 144hz display and 60hz display..

LewisPark

I just picked up my first 144hz monitor yesterday. I set it up, installed drivers and such. I notice when I play a game of league on it and try to watch a YouTube video on my secondary monitor it looks choppy FPS wise. The 144hz monitor is using a display port while my 60hz is using a HDMI cable. Would this cause the issue? I turned on G-sync and made the scaling perform on my graphics card with both monitors. Just curious if I am missing anything...
