High fps but not smooth. [HELP]

Piineapplee

Hey everyone, I don't know if this is the right place on the forum but let me just get straight to the point.

I'm experiencing issues about the smoothness of the game. I don't really know how to describe this best, but my fps is constantly 100+ but it feels like it's running on like 30 fps.

However, this is not the case with every game. Games like Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League and Planet Coaster all work fine, but with games like Apex Legends, Ring of Elysium, Fortnite and Minecraft lack the kind of smoothness I'd expect just like the other games. I don't know what this could be, and it's slowly driving me crazy.

Things I've already tried are:

- Updated graphics driver

- Check temperatures

- Vsync on/off

- Capping fps

I hope anyone is able to help me.

Thanks!

Try to DDU the current graphics driver and install the lattest one from nothing.

By the way Stardew Valley is a 2D game which mimic Harvest Moon BTN but much better gameplay, ony the graphics is 2D, but it's a great game.. LOL

Game installed in HDD or SSD?

Mostly HDD, but this is not the problem because I've tried installing on both.

I know Stardew Valley is a lot of fun :)

Anyways, could you explain where I uninstall the driver?

Use this, https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

run it in a safemode, unsinstall the current driver with it, it will automatically uninstall all the graphical applications, then resart PC and then you can try to install again with the latest graphics driver. Hope it helps

Bumping this topic since I still didn't fix this problem. I noticed that putting the resolution lower than 1920x1080 works but I have literally no idea why, since my monitor should support this.
