RTX 2060 vs RTX 2070

So recently my 980ti decided it wasn't meant for this world and died on me and I'm looking for an alternative now. My question is, would the 2070 be worth the price diff with the 2060? I can't really splurge out more than 550-600 on a gpu rn so a 2080 is out of the budget sadly. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance!

No.

Now this is a useful comment.

@the_crazyguy from what I’ve read it’s about 15-20% performance gain.

as @Lexicalje mentioned you can get yourself the 2060 and OC it if your cool with that.

otherwise just by the 2070. Runs beautifully on max settings 1440p with decent frame rates.

In reality i think its about 10-15% performance difference which in my opinion is in no way worth the price difference. As i said before, just get a 2060 and overclock it or stump up for a 2080 if you want a big jump in performance. Unless you're at 4k the 2060 is more than adequate.

2060 or Vega 64, or pony up for the 2080.

The 2070 feels like it's not much better than the others and too far away from the 2080.

The card is also $150 cheaper than the RTX 2070, but critically can be overclocked (with relative ease) to nearly equate RTX 2070 performance in rasterization, which is how most games operate. For anyone who wants an RTX 2070 in performance but doesn’t have the funds, the RTX 2060 seems a good mid-step that can be pushed the rest of the way there. Of course, a 2070 can overclock and outperform the 2060 OC, but the point more comes down to money.

Price to performance its a waste of money, you can close that gap by overclocking the 2060 and it will be pretty much the same as before. Except you have $150 spare.
