How likely are we to see any decent discounts soon? (UK/EU.)

Mainly due to RTX mostly out (and more soon?), and GTX 1660-series coming out hopefully?

I'm looking to get a GTX 1070 laptop and the best price atm is 1400 GBP for a GP73 1070 on OCUK. I'd be happy for 1300 but not sure how long. The prices seem stable for the last 6 months

Thanks. However, limited RAM and SSD, on top of the delivery. Somewhat I also will to trust MSI more, despite their QC issues, as they seem like a bigger company

Thanks for explaining the second point. In regards to the cost, unfortunately it adds to the current cost, as I need the space right away and RAM would also be helpful.

Finally, I see 1070 and 2060 similar, and the former seems cheaper

Markup is not incredibly high on laptops surprisingly. It is unlikely that you are gonna see any remarkable discounts until well after the laptop is useful.

The gp73 throttles super early and cant keep that gpu cooled anyway.

Cheers. Power or thermal throttle? Heard a lot of positives from others.

What are the other alternatives in the budget, MSI seems cheapest?
