Tax return = New laptop

It's 2019 and I'm in the market for a new laptop. The last one I bought was back in 2009. A Dell XPS M1730. The fans on the graphics cards took a shit. My budget is $2500 bucks. I've done my own research but I'd like suggestions!

Looking for something in a 17" display and it may sound stupid but I prefer a touch pad with R&L buttons that are not part of the touch pad. I'm not sure if I want RTX. How many games support Ray tracing. Maybe something with a 1080. I'm interested in a good display. 144 and up. 240 would be awesome. I don't think I'd be able to enjoy 4k on a 17" screen.

I'm from the East coast of the U.S. and weight and battery life don't matter to me.

Why do you need it to be a laptop? Do you carry it around?

Also, please quote people when you answer them.

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.
It matters that you don't just give up.”

I don't have room for a desk top. I also use it for DJ gigs with a midi controller
