We have Linus talking about dark-mode for another time, I love dark mode but i have noticed repeat videos about it but.... this time I felt my eyes squinting while watching the video. As linus talked about dark mode he stood infront a white eye drying background. so Ithought this video which is surrounded by a dark mode youtube, what if the video itself was also Dark mode'ed?

So heres the idea how about instead of flat white backgrounds in videos replace them with a "dark" one. I hope someone in LTT at least test the idea on a existing video that uses a white plain background.

Turn on a light is not really valid criticism, only thing I can guess a black background be worse in direct sunlight, and either if you like the appearance

Edit: there Quoted!

While I admit it would have been a good gimmick for this video given the contents, changing the entire look of the show isn't a good idea from their standpoint. Tech Quickie has always been black shirt on white background and probably always will be, that's the brand.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Often Tech Quickie videos tend to have images appear on the screen, so having a white background benefits being able to see the images better.

A black background in contrast would make viewing images that pop up on screen particularly difficult in hindsight.
