Sleeper laptop?

I've seen this done before, they built a mITX PC inside a win98 era laptop, full size GPU and everything, the only thing they couldn't get working was the trackball, GTX 660 modded for single slot.

Laptop parts are usually soldered, making upgrades beyond (usually) RAM and storage impossible. I don't know how practical this is.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.
