2080ti best brand currently?

Which 2080ti should i go for?

dont need any RGB lights, dont need liquid cooling on the gpu.

which 2080ti is currently the best brand at the moment i should go for?

EVGA for customer service... They all perform closely within one another.

Each manufacturer has a huge range of cards. EVGA for example has about 10 different RTX 2080Ti variants with the Black, XC Black, XC Gaming, XC Ultra, XC2 Ultra, FTW3, FTW3 Ultra, and the liquid cooled cards... All ranging from $1000 to $1600
So there's not much point asking for which brand is the best, as there may be a huge difference between the different models they make.

Simply considering which company is good when it comes to things like support... EVGA does have a good reputation lately for their customer service and warranty support.

They all have good and ''less good'' cards...low end and high end models...

For customer services and warranty you want to deal with EVGA...

And IMHO, for higher end cards of the best quality MSI is up there with their Gaming X Trio.

The card themselves are very similar in performance numbers, you're up to silicon lottery at that point..

I'd say they're all good. Probably not much difference performance wise between any of them at that point. They're the flagship models of each company, so should be pretty easy to find some reviews and even comparisons between the cards online for things like thermal performance and noise of the cooler, though again they should all perform well. Other than that I would recommend just considering which one has the best accompanying software. For example if you have an all Asus system with RGB then the Asus card with Aura Sync might appeal to you. Whichever you can find for cheapest I guess.

all good cards... you could even get a stepdown xc, or even the black if you want to

Not saying you're wrong...but when you spend so much on a card to begin with IMHO it's not a good idea not to buy the higher end version of the cards because it'll be quieter with better temps and likely last longer...and the cards look and feel better...and it's usually like less than 100$ more...but 100$ on a 1000$+ card is less than 10% so IMHO well worth it.

i wouldn't buy a high end 2060, but a high end 2080ti...sure it's money well spend.

Not disagreeing with you, but you're under the assumption that the extra $100 won't come out of the budget elsewhere in the build. $100 is a 2x8GB RAM kit or a high quality power supply. If they get the $1100 GPU instead of the $1000 one, but only then have enough money left in the build budget for a $20 PSU, they're going to have a bad time.

But at the same time, if you're spending $1000+ on a GPU you don't necessarily want to cheap out and get the cheapest card on the market with a crappy cooler that can't cool it.
Just gotta find the right balance between your budget and your needs.

I've only had to RMA a card once. And the process was great with EVGA customer support. Until the day where I have a bad experience with them, I'll continue to support them by buying EVGA cards and power supplies.

If you are looking for black with no RGB, try ASUS. They provide a lot of black cards.

As I am not shop/price-worthy outside the USA.

You would be surprised what we see in the PSU forums. Had someone ask how to power an RTX graphics card with their 15 year old Apevia unit the other day since it didn't have the required PCIe connectors. (Thankfully that person was at least sensible enough to ask for help before using it)

I had the ASUS strix 980ti and it was aweful...cheap loud fans, hot running card...a blade on one fan even flew off at some point and I had to super glue it back....maybe they're better now I don't know.

doesnt that ruin the balance of the fan blades and make it vibrate more and run louder?

Chinese tyres aren't that bad, 400hp to 500hp is totally fine if you use their flagship sports tyres.

How yeah you literally can't use the card when a blade is missing...once I glued it back it was fine...it was loud before, and now it was loud again

I'm pretty sure Maxwell always ran hot. Can't explain why it threw a blade though.

 

Can tell you my RX580 feels solid as anything. Probably the sturdiest GPU i've owned.

I mean the best way is to take the shroud and fans off and replace with case fans. Once a fan blade broke off, it will never be balanced again.
