What if I don’t send back a item that I got a replacement from? Or if I don’t send back a return?

So like technically a thing I got from amazon is broke and because I have 30daus to get a new one I mean why not it’s new? 

 

So i messaged the seller and they said that they are sending a replacement it’s in the way...... 

 

they said, we kindly ask me to return the item after I get the replacement... um so it’s not a official amazon return so it’s not tracked it don’t count as I’m returning an item as I didn’t click return 

 

so like I could keep the item on theory right? I mean I’d feel bad doing it but I would have to pay for return label as they said they don’t offer a free one and I could actually fix this broke. One lol I mean would they like send someone round to tell me off for not sending the return? 

 

U might ask why didn’t I just fix the original well as I say I’d rather it guaranteed to work by getting a brand new one but I probably could fix this one

You're asking on a Canadian/International forum if doing something morally wrong is alright, what else would you expect? obviously everybody is going to shame you for keeping both products when the seller agreed to give you a replacement in good faith.

They won't receive credit from their distributor if they don't have the damaged product. If you keep the broken and good item, you're causing more damage to the store than you are to Amazon themselves.

i never agreed though

 

i sent them a message saying, Hey its broken and stated what the issue i was having then i said do you have any fixes or solutions because maybe they have had the issue before and then just replied saying their sending me a new one so

1.) It sounds like a request that I would follow up with - I will do this (wait until you have the new item) only if you provide the shipping label.

2.) The onus is on you how you handle it however I personally WOULD NOT pay return shipment on a broken item.  Ever.  My principles on morality and capitalism states I will do what is right when fiscally feasible.  Its not fiscally feasible for me to buy an item, you ship me a broke one, and me pay to send it back to you.

 

If they refuse the return label, I would not ship it back.  I wouldn't initiate the conversation until the new item arrived.

If the seller asked you to return the broken item and you keep both you're an asshole.

 

If the seller sent you a replace but did not request the broken item be returned then you may keep both items.

its a amazon sale. you should have got an email with the free shipping label. or it will come with the replacement
if you dont return it they can charge you for the new item, and amazon will put a restriction on any returns in the future. basically you send it first, then you will get the replacement when they receive it
