This is not in AUD so itl cost like 2000 AUD and I have budget of like 400 500 AUD

I don't use usd either just convert it yourself, if you only have a budget of 400 to 500 aud then don't build a new PC wanting to play apex since windows 10 would already take it 170 aud and running ryzen 3 is already the cheapest u can go

All i know ( like smarty i guess ) is that the cpu does all main computer decisions like transfering data

PLEASE HELP ME PEOPLE I WANT TO KNOW

The graphics card gives you all your frames

The hard drive is long term storage

The ram is short term storage

The power supply gives you system power

The cpu lets everything run properly

The motherboard connects all of your parts with power given to it by the power supply

The case holds everything

The cpu cooler cools the cpu to appropriate temps.

here are my specs

Intel Core i7-2600k @3.40Ghz
8GB RAM
Radeon R9 270X 2GB GFX Card
Z68 Gen 3 Motherboard
1TB WD HDD
550W Hexa Series Power Supply

is it good for $249 and will i be able to run fortnite well

Buddy, if you buy a pre-built, you're paying for a useless premium, what's your budget? Because that won't be able to run many modern games very well at all, like 60 fps on low settings 1080p Apex, same on Fortnite, that is not worth it at all.

PC Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7 8700

GPU: MSI Armour GeForce GTX 1080 8GB OC

Motherboard: Asus-Prime 7370-A ATX LGA1151

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB

Cooler: Noctua NH-U9S

Case: Kolink Observatory RGB ATX Mid Tower Case

  • 2 weeks later...

CPU is the main processor

RAM is where all of your active applications are stored, it will loose all of it's data if your computer restarts or is out of battery etc.

a hard drive stores your data for a long time, it won't loose it's data if your pc/laptop turns off or is out of power/unplugged, but it's slow

a SSD does the same thing as a hard drive, but is quicker, so your applications will boot up quicker (your computer too), because it has to move stuff to the RAM

a graphics card is a thing (i guess its a chip?) that is designed to process all you see on your screen (this pixel is this colour etc.) the CPU can do the work of a graphics card, but it will be slow
