Ok! CPUs just happen to be our thing.

A CPU does the main processes of the computer.  A click on an app or an internet search will be partly managed by the CPU. The CPU also directs power-supply and senses problem and statistics.  The CPU helps the OS and all the other chips on a computer circuit board.  It contributes to GPU, RAM, and Hard Drive services.

The central job of the Central Processing Unit, however; is speed.

Looks like @poochyena beat me.

its Random Access Memory. Say if you launch a program, it retrieves it from the hard disk then puts it in ram, where it can be accsesd very quickly. the more ram = more programs etc.

I'm gonna go find my own tech support...

with BLACKJACK and HOOKERS!

Ram stands for Random Access Memory. Ram is needed to pull files from storage, and hold them while being handled by the CPU. Ram is often called memory. It's different from storage, which is your SSD or hard drive, but both are measured in gigabytes. Ram also has an operating frequency, so it can be "fast" or "slow" (which is to say higher or lower bandwidth)

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

RAM also contributes to speed.

The more RAM you have the faster it is.

As well as what @fasauceome and @LukeTheCoder05 said, you should probably know that RAM has diminishing returns on gaming performance. Doing creative tasks or running TONS of programs at once (that's why servers have a ton of ram) would be the only reasons that you would need anything over about 16Gb.

16Gb seems to be the standard for most gamers.

Oh btw surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet but Pcpartpicker.com is a godsend. Do take a look, it has a compatibility filter, pricing on major retailers, an excellent saving feature, and more.

Can you list the entire specs of the computer, or link me to its product page? Usually we on this (& other tech forums) disagree buying prebuilt systems, but I think it's acceptable for you because you may not be too skilled with assembly.

(I'm pretty sure you meant you're buying a custom PC from someone who makes them)

Okay so hold on a second:

1. You want to build a gaming PC

2. You want to use the PC to play apex legends

that's it?

Other things we need to know:

1. What country do you live in?

2. Will you use this PC for anything else?

3. Do you want your PC to be big or small? A big PC costs less so if size is not a constraint go with that. Especially for a first build.

4. I am assuming you plan to run windows 10. Doubt you even know what a linux is right now.

no im buying one

1. i live is australia

2. not really maybe school work aswell

3. it is kida medium size

4. i think it has windows 10

ill send you specs

Although upgradability on the CPU is pretty low, that equipment will probably be fine. I say probably because it has an R9 270X. If I were you, I'd separately purchase something like a GTX 1050Ti, or even maybe a 6Gb model of the GTX 1060 if you have the budget.

All in all though, that's a nice price.

Yeah, you can get relatively good performance on Fortnite. Apex is going to be a bit slow, and you'll probably have to turn down the settings very low (I am unexperienced with how this game performs because I have not played it yet).
